As Bavarian Minister of Transport, I warmly welcome you to AIRTEC 2025!
It is a great pleasure for me to join you in taking a look into the future of aerospace.

This industry stands, perhaps more than any other, for innovation, progress, and international cooperation. Aviation connects people, markets and cultures – and is a driving force for economic development and technological change. Space travel lays the foundation for many everyday applications that we now take for granted.

The exhibitors at AIRTEC play a key role in this: with their ideas and expertise, they ensure that aerospace remains at the cutting edge and successfully rises to meet the challenges of the future.

The topics that concern us today and in the years to come are wide-ranging and of great significance. The future of air mobility is shaped by sustainable technologies, digitalisation and new concepts. Electric flight, alternative propulsion systems, and the integration of drones into airspace are just a few examples of the innovative power within your sector. The space industry, too, now more than ever, stands for groundbreaking innovation and the application of new technologies – particularly here in Bavaria!

At the same time, we face the important task of ensuring our security and defence capabilities. Current geopolitical developments clearly demonstrate how essential civil aviation security and a powerful air defence system are. Innovative security concepts and cutting-edge technologies are vital in order to meet the ever-increasing demands. In this regard, the participants of AIRTEC 2025 make an indispensable contribution – through technological innovation, the highest quality standards, and cooperative partnerships.
